A Resolution Awarding the Contract for the Construction of Phase 2 of the Metra Parking Lot to PT Ferro Construction Company.

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville and Metra have determined that there is a need to add additional parking at the existing Metra Station to accommodate the current demand; and
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville and Metra had an existing agreement for Metra to reimburse the Village up to $60,000 for the design and up to $555,000 for the construction of said project; and
Whereas, Village Staff accepted formal bids from four (4) contractors to perform construction related services for this project; and,
Whereas, Metra Staff has reviewed the bids and found the lowest bidder (PT Ferro Construction Company) to have complied with the DBE Compliance Requirements; and,
Whereas, Village Staff recommends the Village Board formally award the contract to PT Ferro Construction Company in the amount of $574,440.36.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: ACCEPTANCE AND AWARD OF CONTRACT: The Village of Romeoville hereby awards the contract to PT Ferro Construction Company in the amount of $574,440.36.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
Section 3: RECITALS: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
