A Resolution With Respect to an Amendment to the Independence Boulevard Tax Increment Finance District, Establishing the Dates for a Public Hearing and Joint Review Board, and Other Matters in the Village Of Romeoville
("Independence Boulevard TIF")
Body

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville is a duly organized home rule municipality under and by virtue of the Constitution and Statutes of the State of Illinois (the "Village"); and
WHEREAS, the Village is authorized to take various actions with respect to redevelopment of property within its borders; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 18-1454, the Village approved a Redevelopment Plan and Project for a Redevelopment Project Area known as the Independence Boulevard TIF District; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 18-1455, the Village designated the Independence Boulevard TIF as a Redevelopment Project Area; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 18-1456, the Village adopted Tax Increment Financing for the Independence Boulevard TIF; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village to considering adding the Property ("Proposed Additional Area") to create the Amended Independence TIF legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Proposed Amended Independence TIF is generally described as set forth on Exhibit B attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Proposed Amended Independence TIF is depicted on the map attached hereto as Exhibit C; and
WHEREAS, the conditions of the Proposed Additional Area have been reviewed and there is reason to believe that it qualifies as a Redevelopment Project Area and that certain costs to be incurred in the redevelopment of the area may qualify as and be eligible for reimbursement as Redevelopment Project Costs all as provided by the TIF Act; and
WHEREAS, for at least ten (10) days prior to the adoption of this Resolution, copies of a proposed draft First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan and Project and Qualification Report for the Independence Boulevard TIF have been av...
