Waive the Bidding Requirements and Utilize the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) for the purchase of one 2019 2-1/2 Ton Single Axle Dump Truck

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will utilize the National Joint Powers Alliance Contract 081716-PMC for the purchase of one Peterbilt 2-1/2 ton single-axle dump truck from JX Peterbilt, and will utilize the National Joint Powers Alliance Contract #080114-MTE for the purchase of the dump body, snow removal equipment and hydraulic system from Monroe Equipment; and,
Whereas, The Village has $210,000 approved for the 2-1/2 ton dump truck in the FY 18/19 budget for the purchase of this vehicle; and,
Whereas, Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and purchasing a 2-1/2 ton single-axle dump truck and dump body, snow removal equipment, and hydraulics through the National Joint Powers Alliance; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements and utilize the National Joint Powers Alliance for the purchase of one Peterbilt 2-1/2 ton dump truck with dump body, snow removal equipment, and hydraulic system for a total purchase price of $207,836.28.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
