Approval of Additional Water Main Construction and an Addition to the 2016/17 Water Main Rehabilitation Program Contract
Body
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a contract was awarded to Len Cox & Sons Excavating in April, 2017, for the construction of new HDPE water main in the amount of $759,750.00, and $900,000.00 was budgeted for this work; and,
Whereas, Village staff desires to utilize the remaining $140,000 of the budgeted amount for the 2016/17 water main program, along with $240,000 of the $900,000 budgeted for the 2017/18 water main program, to facilitate construction of additional water main for an adjacent location at the current contract unit prices; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Addition to Contract: The Village of Romeoville will add $380,000.00 to the contract for the Water Main Rehabilitation 2016/17 Project, which is currently being performed by Len Cox & Sons Excavating.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
