Title

A Resolution Authorizing the ComEd Advanced Engineering Fee for the Relocation of Overhead Electric Facilities along Route 53

Body

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville, Will County, Illinois (the “Issuer”) is a municipality and a home rule unit of government under Section 6(a) of Article VII of the 1970 Constitution of the State of Illinois; and

Whereas, staff has been working with Lewis University on sharing costs associated with the redevelopment of the Route 53 Corridor; and

Whereas, Lewis University authorized $100,000 to continue with design work for the beautification of this corridor; and

Whereas, part of this project is the relocation of overhead electric facilities along Route 53 from Airport Rd to the Fitzpatrick House; and

Whereas, staff is requesting $100,000 to advance the ComEd engineering for relocating these lines; and

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the President and Village Board of the Village of Romeoville, Will County, Illinois, as follows:

                     Section 1.                     That the President and the Village Clerk are hereby respectively authorized to authorize the ComEd Advanced Engineering Fee for the relocation of overhead electric facilities along Route 53

                     Section 2.                     The Resolution shall be in full force and effect and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.                     

                     Section 4.                     That all ordinances, resolutions or orders, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby superseded; and that this resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption and approval.
