A Resolution Authorizing a Change Order for Discovery Park Contract with J. Russ and Company

WHEREAS, In April 2017, the Village approved a proposal from J. Russ & Company, Incorporated for $3,199,542 for the development of Discovery Park Phase I and Phase II; and

WHEREAS, the Village would like to add two additional amenities, Field Lighting and Additional Parking (see Exhibit B), to the construction of Phase I and Phase II for Discovery Park; and

WHEREAS, the Village would like to purchase necessary park items for Discovery Park (Exhibit C); and

WHEREAS, the cost for the two additional amenities to the construction of Discovery Park and the necessary park items is $789,428.00 (see Exhibit A) for which funds are available; and

WHEREAS, the Village would like to move forward with the additional amenities to provide lighting for evening athletics and accommodate parking needs;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.

SECTION TWO. That the proper officers and personnel of the Village are hereby authorized and directed to approve the Change Order and such other related documents and to enter into an agreement as may be required in connection therewith.

SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.

SECTION FOUR. All prior Resolutions and Resolutions or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
