An Ordinance Amending Chapter 42 of the Village Code of Ordinances (Administrative Warning Tickets)-Adding Violations of Section 91.30-Unlawful Displays of Fireworks--to Appendix to Chapter 42

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has heretofore adopted certain ordinances now codified as and for Chapter 42 of the Village Code of Ordinances and as other provisions of the Village Code of Ordinances setting forth and establishing a system of issuing administrative warning tickets for specified violations of the Village Code of Ordinances; and

WHEREAS, after Village staff review, it has been determined that certain of the provisions set forth therein are in need of revision, and specifically that the provisions of the Appendix to Chapter 42 shall be amended by the addition of a reference to violations of Section 91.30 of the Village Code of Ordinances, so as to permit the issuance of administrative warning tickets to persons violating said Section 91.30.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THAT:


SECTION 1: RECITALS. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein.

SECTION 2: AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 42--Appendix OF VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES. Chapter 42--Appendix of the Village Code of Ordinances shall hereby be amended to add the following violation of the Village Code of Ordinances as a violation for which administrative warning tickets may be issued:

CHAPTER 91

SECTION 91.30-Unlawful Displays of Fireworks Prohibited; Sky Lanterns Prohibited.


SECTION 3: SEVERABILITY. That the various provisions of this Ordinance are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance.
