Title

A Resolution Authorizing The Waiving Of Bids For The Provision Of Apparel For The Village Department Of Parks and Recreation (Programs And Staff) For A One Year Term Authorizing A Contract For the Same With BWM Global.

 

Body

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies,

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville had requested proposals for the provision of apparel for the Village Parks and Recreation Department programs and staff in 2016; and

 

WHEREAS, based upon review of the applicable proposals and proposed contractor qualifications, the Village had determined to enter into a contract with BWM Global for the provision of apparel for the Village Parks and Recreation Department programs and staff for a term beginning June 1, 2016, and ending May 31, 2017, all upon the terms and conditions set forth in the proposal submitted to the Village by BWM Global attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has been pleased with the service and quality of goods and would like to renew a contract with BWM Global with updated pricing attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit B for a term beginning June 1, 2017 end ending May 31, 2018.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made a part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS

5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the provision of apparel for the Village Parks and Recreation Department programs and staff for a term beginning June 1, 2017 and ending May 31, 2018, and authorize the purchase of such services upon the terms, conditions and provisions of the proposal from BWM Global set forth in Exhibit A with updated pricing as set forth in Exhibit B to this Ordinance (a copy of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference), upon receipt of satisfactory written acceptance of the terms, conditions and provisions of this Resolution by BWM Global, and further authorize the execution of any purchase orders and other documents as may reasonably be required in connection therewith.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Resolutions or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

 

 

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, provisions, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The Ordinance shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as regulated by law.
