A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Price Quote from Tri-Tech Electric for the Installation of Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon Pedestrian Crossing Signs

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, the expenditures for the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) pedestrian crossing signs at locations on Airport Road at Boucher Prairie Park and on Taylor Road at Century Park are allocated in the current FY17/18 Budget; and,

Whereas, Tri-Tech Electric, Inc. has provided a price quote to install the RRFB pedestrian crossing signs at the two locations for a total combined cost of $27,100.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the installation of RRFB pedestrian crossing signs.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or secti...
