Waive the Bidding Requirements and Utilize the National Joint Powers Alliance Contract 081716-PMC for the Purchase of One 2017 Peterbilt Model 330 Truck and a Forestry Chipper Body

                     Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village will utilize National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract 081716-PMC for the purchase of one Peterbilt Model 330 truck from JX Peterbilt, the state bid contract for the purchase of a forestry chipper body for the truck from Monroe Truck Equipment; and,

 

Whereas, The Village has $112,000 approved in the FY 17/18 Budget for the purchase of the truck with forestry chipper body.  The purchase price of this vehicle is $76,422.00 plus $29,216.00 for the chipper body for a total cost of $105,638.00, below the budgeted amount; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and utilizing the NJPA contract for the purchase of one Peterbilt Model 330 truck with forestry chipper body; and,

 

                     NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

                     Section 1:                      The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements and utilize the NJPA Contract 081716-PMC for the purchase of one Peterbilt Model 330 forestry truck for a total amount of $105,638.00.

Section 2:                      The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
