A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
FOR THE COMPLETION OF PHASE I AND PHASE II FOR DISCOVERY PARK

WHEREAS, the Village would like to move forward with the construction portion for the completion of Phase I and Phase II for Discovery Park; and
WHEREAS, the Village has determined to approve a proposal from J. Russ & Company, Incorporated for $3,199,542 upon the terms and conditions set forth in the proposal submitted to the Village from J. Russ & Company, Inc., which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit E; and
WHEREAS, the Village would like to move forward with the low bidder, J. Russ & Company, Incorporated and additional documentation is attached hereto as Exhibit A (Bid Tabulation), Exhibit B (Bid Recommendation Letter from Hitchcock Design Group), Exhibit C (Withdrawal Letter from Bidder Copenhaver Construction, Inc.), Exhibit D (Bid Reference Checks), and Exhibit F (Image of Discovery Park Development);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO. That the proper officers and personnel of the Village are hereby authorized and directed to approve the proposal, which is attached hereto as Exhibit E and to enter into a contract and such other related documents as may be required in connection therewith.
SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
SECTION FOUR. All prior Resolutions and Resolutions or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of su...
