Resolution Awarding of the Contract for the 2016/17 Water Main Rehabilitation Program

Body

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

Whereas, two bid lettings for the Water Main Rehabilitation Program were held concurrently on April 13, 2017 to determine which of two methods would be most cost-effective and advantageous to the Village, and four bids were received for the project employing a directional drilling method, and one bid was received for the project employing the lining method; and,

 

Whereas, the bidder with the overall lowest and most advantageous bid was identified as Len Cox & Sons Excavating with a bid of $759,750.00, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the Water Main Rehabilitation 2016/17 program to Len Cox & Sons in the amount of $759,750.00.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
