An Ordinance Amending Chapter 150 (Building Ordinance) and Chapter 91 (Fire Prevention Ordinance), and Chapter 151 (Housing/Property Maintenance Code) of the Village of Romeoville Code of Ordinances

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has heretofore adopted Chapter 150 (Building Ordinance) and Chapter 91 (Fire Prevention Ordinance) and Chapter 151 (Housing/Property Maintenance Code) of the Romeoville Code of Ordinances pursuant to the Illinois Compiled Statutes to establish and set forth regulations pertaining to the use, development and construction of land, buildings and structures in the Village; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to periodically amend the above-referenced Chapters in response to changes in technology, development practices, and community standards and to improve administration and enforcement procedure; and,
WHEREAS, the Village's Building Inspections and Fire Prevention staff has reviewed the most recent updates of the various model building codes currently enforced in the Village and has recommended the President and Village Board amend Chapter 150, Chapter 91, and Chapter 151 of the Romeoville Code of Ordinances by adopting the revised and amended versions of those Chapters as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part hereof by this reference.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the above recitals and referenced reports are hereby made a part of this Ordinance.
Section 2: That Chapters 150, 91 and 151 of the Romeoville Code of Ordinances be, and hereby are amended to be read as provided in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage as provided by law, and pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/1-2-4 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, this written and foregoing Ordinance is published by ...
