A RESOLUTION TO WAIVE THE BID PROCESS AND APPROVE
A PROPOSAL FROM NUTOYS FOR THE PURCHASE OF FITNESS STATIONS
AND PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT FOR MEADOWDALE PARK

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, The Village of Romeoville ("Village") has heretofore reviewed proposals for fitness stations and playground equipment from NuToys for Meadowdale Park and is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, The Village desires to accept the proposal for $42,572 with NuToys for fitness stations and playground equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville is an Illinois home rule municipal corporation under the 1970 Illinois Constitution; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that:
SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: That pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville, by a two-thirds vote of its Corporate Authorities, hereby waives the public bidding procedures applicable to the provision for fitness stations and playground equipment for the development of Meadowdale Park, and further that the Village President and Village Clerk are hereby respectively authorized to accept and execute a proposal from NuToys for fitness stations and playground equipment for th...
