A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
SERVICES FOR PHASE I AND PHASE II FOR DISCOVERY PARK

Body
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville was awarded a $400,000.00 OSLAD grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and notification that fifty percent of the grant award will be forthcoming from the State Comptroller's office; and

WHEREAS, the Village would like to move forward and combine the remaining portion of Phase I of this project and commence with Phase II; and

WHEREAS, Robinson Engineering LTD. will complete the engineering portion of the project, which costs are estimated at $6,200.00; and

WHEREAS, the Village has determined to approve a proposal from Hitchcock Design Group for Design Services for Phase I and Phase II for $57,600 upon the terms and conditions set forth in the proposal submitted to the Village by Hitchcock Design Group and FRS Design Group (sub-consultant to Hitchcock) attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A and B; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.

SECTION TWO. That the proper officers and personnel of the Village are hereby authorized and directed to sign the proposals in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A and Exhibit B.

SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.

SECTION FOUR. All prior Resolutions and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
