A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Price Quote For the Upgrade and Installation of Fuel Monitoring Equipment and Software

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, the expenditures for the upgrade of the existing fuel monitoring equipment and software along with the addition of equipment for the REMA facility are available in the Fiscal Year 2016/2017 Budget; and,

Whereas, a price quote has been received from Petroleum Technologies Equipment Inc, in the amount of $33,265.00 for the installation and equipment required to upgrade our current fuel system along with the addition of the monitoring of the REMA facility to tie into our fuel system.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to upgrading of the fuel monitoring equipment and software.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remainin...
