A Resolution Authorizing a Service Agreement (Voiance Language Services LLC-Phone and Remote Video Translation Services)

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville desires to enter into a Service Agreement in the form attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A with Voiance Language Services LLC to provide telephone and remote video translation services for Fire Department personnel responding to emergency medical services calls; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of two-thirds of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO. Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Corporate Authorities of the Village hereby waive the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the provision of remote phone and video translation services by Voiance Language Services LLC pursuant to the terms of the Service Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A to this Resolution, and authorize the purchase of the same from Voiance Language Services LLC pursuant to the Service Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A to this Resolution, and further authorize the execution of any purchase orders and other documents as may reasonably be required in connection therewith.
