A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Process and Accept the Price Quote for Academy Instructor Firefighting Gear from Paul Conway Shield

body

                     Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

                     Whereas, included in the approved 26-27 budget, is Project #26E3155FD, Purchase Instructor Gear (RFA);

                     Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village) the Fire Academy has standardized the specification for instructor gear over the last two years. To maintain this consistency, we are requesting to waive the formal bid process and only consider vendors that most closely meet the existing specification and distribute to our area locally. Conway Shield specifically offers a reduced rate for training instructors as well.

                                          Section 1:                     The Village of Romeoville approves the Fire Academy purchase of state-of-the-art firefighting gear for Academy Instructors;

                                          Section 2:                     That the quote hereto aforementioned submitted by Paul Conway Shield in the amount of $49,998.00 be approved;

                                          Section 3:                     The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
