A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements, Accepting the Proposal and Entering into a Contract with Karl Chevrolet for the Purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe

                     Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village will purchase a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe in the amount of $53,064.20; and,

 

Whereas, The Village has approved funds in the current FY 25/26 budget for the purchase of a vehicle replacement for the Fire Department; and,

 

                     Whereas, The Village Staff recommend waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe utilizing funds in the account 05.10.01.410; and,

 

                     NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

                     

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements applicable to the purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe from Karl Chevrolet in the amount of $53,064.20.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage,         approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
