A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A PROPOSAL FROM
PEERLESS FENCE FOR FENCE REPAIRS AT
VARIOUS VILLAGE PARKS (VILLAGE PARK, VOLUNTEER PARK, DISCOVERY PARK, AND BOUCHER PRAIRIE PARK)
FOR A TOTAL REPAIR COSTS OF $32,770.00

WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department desires to maintain its parks; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has identified various parks in need of new fencing areas and fencing repairs (Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has acquired a proposal from Peerless Fence for a total of $32,770.00 (Exhibit B); and
WHEREAS, the Village has utilized services from Peerless Fence in the past and has been satisfied with the quality of work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE. The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.
SECTION TWO. Pursuant to a two-thirds vote of the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Romeoville, the Village hereby waives the otherwise applicable public bidding requirements of the Illinois Municipal Code and the Village Code of Ordinances, and authorizes the award of a proposal to Peerless Fence for new fencing areas and fencing repairs (Exhibit A), substantially consistent with the proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit B, and the Village President is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same, or in lieu thereof, the provisions of this Resolution shall serve therefor.
SECTION THREE. That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.
