Title

A Resolution Awarding the Contract for the Hampton Park Sub 5 Watermain Improvements to J Congdon Sewer Service

Body

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

Whereas, a bid letting for the Hampton Park Subdivision 5 watermain improvements project was held on July 10, 2024, and bids were received from nine prequalified bidders; and,

 

Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as J. Congdon Sewer Service with a base bid of $5,846,502.80, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate.  The budgeted amount for this work is $8,150,000.00, which is within the constraints of the budget; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the Hampton Park Subdivision 5 watermain improvement project to J Congdon Sewer Service in the amount of $5,846,502.80.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
