A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Agreement by Cintas for the Supplying and Maintenance of Uniforms for the Parks and Recreation Department.

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for the supplying and maintenance of uniforms are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget, and are proposed to be included in subsequent years' budgets as have been customarily included; and,
Whereas, a proposal has been received by Cintas, and the proposal will provide for the outfitting of Parks and Recreation Department personnel with uniforms at a reduced cost as indicated on the attached proposal with the entering into a contract term of five years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the proposal for the supplying and maintenance of uniforms for the Parks and Recreation Department., and authorizes the execution of the aforesaid contract with Cintas, as attached hereto as Exhibit A, and subject to Village Manager and Attorney review.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
