A Resolution Accepting a Bid and Entering into a Two-Year Contract with Schumann Printers Inc for Seasonal Program Brochures

WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville would like to continue utilizing the company Schumann Printers Inc for the printing of the Seasonal Recreation Brochures; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Chapter 36.43(C) of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of two-thirds of its Trustees then holding office, waive the otherwise applicable requirements for public bidding, whether for labor, services or work, the construction of public works or improvements, or the purchase, lease or sale of personal property, materials, equipment or supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has heretofore received six quotes for the 80-Page Seasonal Recreation Brochure 2-Year Contract (see Exhibit A);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: The foregoing recitals are hereby expressly incorporated into and made a part of this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: By a two-thirds vote of the corporate authorities of the Village, applicable competitive bidding requirements under the Illinois Municipal Code and the Village Code of Ordinances are hereby waived, and the Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to proceed with entering into a two-year contract with Schumann Printers Inc for Seasonal Program Brochures attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A to this Resolution, subject to final Village Manager and Village Attorney review.
Section 3: That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity o...
