A Resolution Awarding the Contract for the Normantown Road Frontage Road Project

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, a bid letting for the Normantown Frontage Road Street Rehabilitation Project was held on April 19, 2023, and bids were received from three bidders; and,
Whereas, the project is approved to receive grant funding in the amount of $150,000 from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO); and,
Whereas, the low bidder was identified as Orange Crush LLC with a bid of $189,787.49, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate and the contract is eligible for awarding pending approval of the contractor's Business Enterprise Plan (BEP) by the DCEO; and,
Whereas, $200,000 has been allocated in the FY23/24 budget for this project, within which amount the project will be completed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the Normantown Road Frontage Road Project to Orange Crush LLC in the amount of $189,787.49, contingent on approval of the contractor's BEP by the DCEO.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining w...
