A Resolution Accepting the Proposal from Chicago Parts and Sound LLC for the Upfitting of Six Police Vehicles

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

Whereas, The Village has approved funds in the FY 27 Budget for the upfitting of six Police vehicles; and,

 

Whereas, The Village Staff recommends accepting the proposal for upfitting for the six Police vehicles utilizing funds in the account 05.11.02.410; and,

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Reguirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793- 00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the upfitting of six Police vehicles. The Chicago Parts and Sound LLC proposal includes upfitting four Ford Interceptors for a cost of $12,519.00 each and two Ford Escapes for CSO vehicles at $8,653.00 for a total cost of $67,382.00 for all six vehicles.

 

Section 3:  Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words. phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
