A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Proposal from Denler, Inc. for the Placement of High-Density Mineral Bond Pavement Surface Treatment

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for pavement surface treatment are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Budget; and,
Whereas, proposals combined for a total of $161,500.71 have been received from Denler, Inc. for the placement of high-density mineral bond surface treatment at the south Village Hall parking lots (Lots D & E), the Public Works parking lots, and the ComEd right-of-way multi-use path; and,
Whereas, $180,000 has been included in this year's budget for surface treatments; and,
Whereas, path locations that may be added at the same unit prices as were provided in the proposal, and the aforementioned locations included in the proposal, will be treated for a cost not to exceed the budgeted amount of $180,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the placement of pavement surface treatments.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
