A Resolution to Accept the Proposal from Advanced Security Technologies for the Purchase of a Crowd Barrier with Trailer Utilizing the North Carolina Sheriff's Association Contract

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, a proposal was obtained for the purchase of a crowd barrier with trailer using the North Carolina Sheriff's Association Contract #26-03-0521; and,
Whereas, the funds are approved in the FY27 budget in account 05.08.14.408; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of fifty-two (52) MVB3X Modular Vehicle Barrier System packages from Advanced Security Technologies LLC. AST is the sole provider for the trailer and master distributor for the MVB3X utilizing the North Carolina Sheriffs' Association contract #26-03-0521.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, par...
