A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal to Enter into a Contract with Romeoville Toyota for the Purchase of a 2024 Toyota Rav 4

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a 2024 Toyota Rav 4 for the Community Development Department from Romeoville Toyota,
Whereas, the purchase price for the 2024 Toyota Rav 4 is $32,259.28, which is within the constraints of the budgeted amount of $40,000 in the FY 24/25 budget; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of a 2024 Toyota Rav 4 for the Community Development Department utilizing funds in the account 05.07.13.410 from Romeoville Toyota; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a 2024 Toyota Rav 4 for the Community Development Department from Romeoville Toyota.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
