Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

Whereas, the expenditures for the purchasing of bulk road salt are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Budget in the amount of $250,000; and,

 

Whereas, Village staff recommends the Village participate in the State Bid Contract (P-85804) for the purchase of bulk road salt from Morton Salt at the unit price of $68.63 per ton at 615 Anderson Dr; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Participation in Contract: The Village of Romeoville participates in the State Bid Contract for the purchase of bulk road salt from Morton Salt at the unit price of $68.63 per ton at 615 Anderson Drive. The State bid contract is a one-year term.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
