A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Requirement and Purchase a Mako Air Module Compressor from Air One Equipment, Inc.

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office, waive the requirements for public bidding on Village fire department equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department requests the approval/waive the bids for a MAKO BAM07KE3 Air Module Compressor from Air One Equipment, Inc., (sole provider) in the amount of $43,295.00;
WHEREAS, included in the 24-25 budget are funds ($70,000) for the replacement of an SCBA Compressor to fill the bottles of the department’s self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS that:
Section 1: The Village waive the bid for the purchase of a MAKO BAM07KE3 Breathing Air Module Compressor from Air One Equipment, Inc., Project #: 24E3018FD.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
