A Resolution Approving a Change Order with Visu-Sewer for Additional Sanitary Sewer Main Cured-In-Place Liners at Chicago Tube Drive

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and
Whereas, a change order to previously approved resolution 25-4089 and,
Whereas, Village staff worked with Visu-Sewer for the 2025 Storm Sewer Cured-in-Place Pipelining Project and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Approval of Change Order to Visu-Sewer: 1130 Chicago Tube Drive has four existing sanitary sewer service stubs that need to be permanently abandoned as they will not be utilized in the future. The property owner will be reimbursing the Village under a separate agreement for not only the sewer service abandonments but also two watermain stub abandonments that Village staff will complete internally. Visu-Sewer has proposed a price of $14,400.00 for the sanitary sewer service abandonments located at this property.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
