A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of an OSLAD Authorization Resolution

                     WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville is an Illinois home rule municipality under the provisions of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Village is in the process of applying for OSLAD grant funding to support its development and improvement on the Ward property park, and the application process requires the Village to execute an OSLAD authorization resolution in the form prescribed by the State of Illinois, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A hereto; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Village of Romeoville has determined that it is in the best interests of the Village to authorize the execution of the OSLAD Authorization Resolution in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit A.

 

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, AND ILLINOIS:

 

                     SECTION ONE.  The foregoing Recitals are hereby incorporated into this resolution as if fully set forth in this Section 1.

 

                     SECTION TWO.   The President and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and attest to the execution of an OSLAD authorization resolution in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, subject to final review and approval by the Village Manager and the Village Attorney.

 

SECTION THREE.  That the various provisions of this Resolution are to be considered severable and if any part or portion of this Resolution shall be held invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Resolution.

 

                     SECTION FOUR.  All prior Resolutions and Resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict or inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby expressly repealed only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.

 

                     SECTION FIVE.  This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
