A Resolution to Approve IEPA's SRF Low Interest Loan Program Notice of Intent to Award Document to Airy's Inc for the Spangler Drive Lift Station Improvements

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, a bid letting for the Spangler Dr Lift Station Improvements was held on Thursday, May 16, 2024; and,
Whereas, seven bids were received and read aloud with the low bid of $2,773,000 being from Airy's Inc, less than the Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost; and,
Whereas, the project will be funded through the IEPA SRF Low Interest Loan Program and a grant of $959,757 from Congresswoman Underwood, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves the IEPA's SRF Low Interest Loan Program Notice of Intent to Award Document to Airy's Inc for the Spangler Drive Lift Station Improvements for a total project bid cost of $2,773,000 which will be funded in conjunction with the grant awarded from Congresswoman Underwood.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of...
