A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Enter into a Contract with P.T. Ferro for the Fire Station 2 Concrete Pavement Project

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the
Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its
Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village
public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, four proposals were solicited and three proposals were received for the Fire Station 2 Concrete Pavement Project, the lowest proposal was submitted by P.T. Ferro Construction Company in the amount of $162,769.17, and the work will be performed within the $212,000 amount allocated for these expenditures in the budget.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the contract for the Fire Station 2 Concrete Pavement Project.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
