A Resolution Waiving the Bidding Requirements and Accepting the Proposal from Rod Baker Ford for the Purchase of a 2024 Ford F550 One Ton Dump Truck Chassis

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a 2024 Ford F550 One Ton Dump truck chassis from Rod Baker Ford utilizing municipal discounts and matching the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative pricing,
Whereas, The Village has $135,000 approved in the FY 24/25 budget for the purchase of a one ton dump truck. The purchase price for the 2024 Ford F550 one ton dump truck chassis is $54,705.00, which is within our budget; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of a 2024 Ford F550 one ton dump truck chassis utilizing funds in the account 05.08.14.410; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a 2024 Ford F550 one ton dump truck chassis in the amount of $54,705.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, cla...
