A Resolution Awarding the Contract for a New Independence Blvd. Pressure Reducing Station

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

Whereas, a bid letting for the new Independence Blvd. pressure reducing station was held on October 17, 2024 and bids were received from five prequalified bidders; and,

 

Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as M&J Underground Inc. with a base bid of $591,589.00, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the new Independence Blvd. pressure reducing station to M&J Underground Inc. in the amount of $591,589.00. M&J Underground Inc. is awarded the bid for the work in the not to exceed $591,589.00, conditioned upon its execution of the Village’s customary form of contract for the work.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
