A Resolution to Enter into a Contract with Builders Paving for the Parking Lot Resurfacing Project (5 Proposals Received)

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for various resurfacing projects are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget; and,
Whereas, five proposals were received for the Parking Lot Resurfacing Project; and,
Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as Builders Paving, with a bid of $633,519 and 5% contingency to total $665,200.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the Parking Lot Resurfacing Project to Builders Paving amount of $633,519 plus 5% contingency to total $665,200 for the Recreation Center Parking Lot, Multi Use Path - Resurfacing and Facility Parking Lot - Resurfacing projects allocated in fiscal year 2027 budget.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
