An Ordinance Amending Chapter 11- Village Seal

WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Romeoville have determined that it is necessary and appropriate to update the Village Seal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Amendment to Chapter 11.01- VILLAGE SEAL
A. The seal of the Village of Romeoville shall be circular in form, with one large circle, a slightly smaller circle within the large circle and an even smaller circle within the slightly smaller circle. The words "Village of Romeoville" are placed in the top arch of space separating the first two circles and "Incorporated 1895" are placed in the bottom arch. These words shall be written in Garamond Upper Case font. These two arches of text shall be separated by a five-pointed star on each side. In the center of the innermost circle shall be a line drawing of the Village Hall, focused on the tower. The tip of the tower roof ever so slightly overlaps the top border of the innermost circle, bleeding into the space above it. The seal shall be used in all cases that are now or shall hereafter be provided by the laws of the United States, the laws of the states of the United States, and the ordinances of the Village of Romeoville, and in all cases in which the laws and customs prescribe that it shall be necessary for a seal to be used by a corporation.
B. The Village seal shall be and remain in the custody of the Clerk of the village, to be used by the Clerk and President of the Board of Trustees of the village, as the occasion may require.
SECTION 2: REPEALER -All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be, and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE -This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
