A Resolution to Accept a Quote for the Purchase of a Case International Farmall 130A Tractor Using the Sourcewell Purchasing Contract

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, a quote was obtained for the purchase of a Case International Farmall 130A Tractor from Birkey's Farm Store using the Sourcewell Purchasing Contract #082923-CNH-1 in the amount of $116,797; and,
Whereas, the purchase will use the trade in value of a Case Max125 Tractor for $28,500 to offset the cost resulting in the net purchase cost of the Case International Farmall 130A Tractor $88,297; and,
Whereas, the funds are approved in the FY27 budget in account 05.08.14.408; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a Case International Farmall 130A Tractor from Birkey's Farm Store using Sourcewell #082923-CNH-1 in the amount of $88,297.00.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect...
