A Resolution Accepting the Lowest Proposal and Enter into a Contract with Kim Construction for 2025 Basin 13 Sanitary Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Program

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and
Whereas, a bid letting for the 2025 Basin 13 Sanitary Manhole Rehabilitation project was held on July 8th, 2025, and bids were received from four prequalified bidders; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for the project were approved in the fiscal year 2025/2026 budget from account 60.08.24.409; and
Whereas, the low responsive and responsible bidder was identified as Kim Construction with a low bid of $305,715.00, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Awarding of Contract: The Village awards the contract for the 2025 Basin 13 Sanitary Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation to Kim Construction in the amount of $305,715.00. Kim Construction is awarded the bid for the work not to exceed $305,715.00, conditioned upon its execution of the Village's customary form of contract for the work.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereo...
