Resolution: Release of Development Security for Public Improvements at Lewis University
Body
Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, the Village has previously established a $1,000,000 Letter of Credit (Resolution 11-1406) for certain improvements at Lewis University, which include those land improvements that will, after completion, be dedicated to the Village of Romeoville; and,
Whereas, Village Staff has received record drawings in conformance with the approved Site, Landscape, and Engineering Plans; and,
Whereas, Village Staff has verified that payment of all outstanding invoices has been made, that all other obligations have been completed, and that the improvements are in compliance with all applicable Village Ordinances; and,
Whereas, Village Staff recommends acceptance and ownership of the public improvements for Lewis University; and,
Whereas, Section 158.005(D)(2) prohibits acceptance of public improvements prior to May 1st and after December 1st of each calendar year; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Village of Romeoville releases the previously established $1,000,000 Letter of Credit (Resolution 11-1406)
Section 2. The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
