Title
Waive the bid process, accept the proposal and enter into a contract with Orange Crush LLC for the Pavement Rehabilitation of Volunteer Park (based on proposals received as part of the 2018 Contractor Street Resurfacing Project).

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,
Whereas, the expenditures for the pavement rehabilitation of the parking lot are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2018/2019 Budget ($325,000 in Account Number 22.13.16.407); and,
Whereas, four proposals were received for the 2018 Contractor Street Resurfacing Project, and the lowest proposal from Orange Crush LLC was approved by the Village Board at the 5/2/18 Board Meeting (Resolution 18-2485); and,
Whereas, Orange Crush LLC has prepared a proposal for the pavement rehabilitation of the parking lot at Volunteer Park in the amount of $121,850.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the contract for the pavement rehabilitation at Volunteer Park.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
