A Resolution to Waive the Bid Process and Accept the Price from MMJL Inc. for the Purchase of a Dustless Sandblasting System.

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will purchase a dustless sandblasting system from MMJL Inc; and,
Whereas, The Village has $67,000 approved in the FY 21/22 Budget for the purchase of a dustless sandblaster. The purchase price of the dustless sandblaster is $63,082.58 which is within our budget; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements for the purchase of dustless sandblaster; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a dustless sandblaster system in the amount of $63,082.58.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
