A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Process and Approve the Quote from All Season Marine, 8073 N State Rt. 50, Manteno, IL, for Fire Department Boat Upgrades in the amount of $60,140.53
body WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village of Romeoville may by a vote of 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office, waive the requirements for public bidding on Village fire department equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department requests the waving of the bid process and accept the quote from All Season Marine, 873 N State Rt. 50, Manteno, IL for Fire Department Boat Upgrades in the amount of $60,140.53; and
WHEREAS, The Romeoville Fire Department operates a public safety response vessel (Fire boat) that requires two new 250 HP Mercury outboard engines, associated rigging, and steering/monitoring upgrades to maintain safe and reliable operation; and
WHEREAS, based on the lack of competitive vendor response, the specialized expertise required, and the critical operational role of this vessel, it is in the best interest of the Village to approve this request for waiver of the formal bid process and authorize award to All Seasons Marine.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS that:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville waives the bid process and approves, the Fire Department Boat Upgrades quote from All Season Marine in the amount of $60,140.53, Project # 25E1042FD - Boat Upgrades.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
