A Resolution Authorizing an Increase to the I&M Canal Multi-Use Path Project

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville ("The Village") is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

Whereas, Resolution 23-0810 authorized entering into a contract with Indicom Electric Co LLC in the amount of $49,900 for the electrical work in conjunction with the I&M Canal Multi-Use Path Project; and,

Whereas, change requests have been received from Indicom Electric Co LLC for the purpose of performing rock augering and trenching above the terms of the original contract along with the costs associated with the change in the size of a pole to match others and bolt circle dimensions; and,

Whereas, an increase in the amount of $14,592.64 to the originally authorized amount for Indicom Electric Co LLC is necessary to facilitate these change orders and this additional amount is available within the overall budgeted amount for the I&M Canal Project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Adjustment of Contract: The Village of Romeoville approves an increase in the amount of $14,592.64 for the contract with Indicom Electric Co LLC to cover the costs of the change orders for the rock augering and trenching and the pole substitution relating to the I&M Canal Project.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, ...
