A Resolution to Accept the Proposal with Builders Concrete Services LLC for the Joliet Junior College Sidewalk Addition

Whereas, Builders Concrete Services LLC. provided a proposal in the amount of $99,385 for the Joliet Junior College sidewalk addition; and,
Whereas, the funds are approved in the FY 27 in account number 01.08.15.409; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the proposal for JJC sidewalk addition. Builders Concrete has provided a proposal in the amount of $99,385. for the excavation and installation of concrete sidewalks and ramps for the new 135th Street pedestrian crossing and JJC sidewalk. Builders Concrete Services was the lowest bidder for the parking lot resurfacing project and offered the proposal for additional work. Builders Concrete has anticipated the work should be ready before Romeo Fest.
Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
