Waive the Bidding Requirements and Utilize the State Bid Contract for the Purchase of One 2019 Ford F550 Dump Body Truck

Whereas, The Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,
Whereas, The Village will utilize the State Bid Contract #4018300 for the purchase of one Ford F550 chassis from Landmark Ford Inc., and the National Joint Purchasing Alliance Contract #080114-MTE for the purchase of a dump body and snow removal equipment from Monroe Truck Equipment; and,
Whereas, The Village has $94,000 approved in the FY 18/19 Budget for the purchase of the F550 dump body truck. The purchase price of this vehicle is $45,791.00 plus $43,887.00 for the dump body and snow removal equipment for a total amount of $89,678.00, which is below the budgeted amount of $94,000.00; and,
Whereas, The Village Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirements and utilizing the State Bid Contract and NJPA Contract for the purchase of one Ford F550 dump body truck; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Village of Romeoville will waive the bidding requirements and utilize the State Bid Contract #4018300 and the NJPA Contract #080114-MTE for the purchase of one Ford F550 dump body truck for the amount of $89,678.00.
Section 2: The Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
