A Resolution Accepting the Proposal and Entering into a Contract with Midwest Salt for Supplying of Bulk Road Salt for the 2026/2027 Fiscal Year at 195 S Budler

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

Whereas, the expenditures for the purchasing of bulk road salt are allocated in the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 Budget in the amount of $250,000; and,

 

Whereas, Village staff recommends the Village accept the proposal and enter into a contract with Midwest Salt for the purchase of 3,000 tons of bulk road salt at the unit price of $113.50 per ton at 195 S. Budler Rd; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Participation in Contract: The Village of Romeoville accepts the proposal and enters into a contract with Midwest Salt for the purchase 3,000 tons of bulk road salt at the unit price of $113.50 per ton at 195 S. Budler Rd.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
