A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Process and Accept the Lowest Proposal from Anderson Equipment Service for the Purchase of a HD 60K Pound Four-Post Lift (Four Proposals Received)

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00, the Village of Romeoville may vote by 2/3 of its Trustees then holding office to waive the requirements for public bidding on Village public work, or improvement projects; and,

Whereas, four proposals were received for the purchase of a HD 60K pound four-post lift; and,

Whereas, the lowest proposal was received from Anderson Equipment Service in the amount of $187,645.63; and,

Whereas, the funds are approved in the FY27 budget in account 01.08.08.408; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

Section 2: Waiver of Public Bid Requirements: Pursuant to the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/8-9-1 and the provisions of the Village Ordinance No. 2793-00 the Village hereby waives the public bidding requirements otherwise applicable to the purchase of a HD 60K pound four-post lift. The heavy-duty lift includes approach ramps and a hydraulic operated rolling jack. The addition of this equipment will enhance the fleet department's ability to safely and efficiently service heavy duty equipment such as fire apparatus and various public works trucks.

Section 3: Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

Section 4: Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same sh...
