A Resolution Awarding the Contract for the 2023/2024 Street Lighting Maintenance Program

Whereas, the Village of Romeoville (“The Village”) is a municipality in accordance with the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and,

 

Whereas, a bid letting for the 2023/2024 Street Lighting Maintenance program was held on April 20, 2023, and bids were received from two prequalified bidders; and,

 

Whereas, the contract is eligible for funding with Motor Fuel Tax funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation, and can be extended on an annual basis for two years; and,

 

Whereas, the low responsive bidder was identified as Meade Inc. with a bid of $3,387.07/month = $40,644.84/year, and the Village has verified the bid is properly complete and accurate.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF ROMEOVILLE, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1:                     Incorporation of Recitals: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if fully set forth herein.

 

Section 2:                     Awarding of Contract: The Village of Romeoville awards the contract for the Traffic Signal Maintenance 2023/2024 program to Meade Inc. in the amount of $3,387.07/month.

 

Section 3:                     Repealer: All other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of the Village of Romeoville that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.

 

Section 4:                     Severability: In the event any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, provision, or section of this Resolution or any portion thereof shall be held to be unconstitutional, unenforceable, or void, the same shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, or sections thereof.

 

Section 5:                     Effective Date: The resolution shall take effect after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form, as provided by law.
